1960 356 B Cab.... "B" Pillar question

Hello all... authenticity question: Does the vinyl on the B pillar wrap over the top or does it terminate in a straight line at the top of the B pillar leaving the painted top exposed? I have seem it both ways. Many cars seem to have it terminate in an even line at the time exposing the paint. However, some photographs provided by Auto's International of a very original car, "seems" (I say this because the photo doesn't exactly get a good shot of this area) to indicate that the very top is wrapped. Opinions? Pictures? And thank you

Mine ended at the top edge, probably factory but I have no proof. I redid it that way.

Good question. Heres a picture of how K&H covered mine. For some reason I have thought this area was covered over.To my eye covering it would seems logical so it would be consistent with the rear panel. Anyone have an original they can share. Mine is a 1959 Cab. That came with the hardtop only.

Silly me; I always thought the B pillar was the vertical area above the body line. My mistake.

Come on Vic , how does rear quarter panels work for you ? Just poking you a little. Certainly not B pillars.

Mine came to me just like Max's, which I assumed had not been redone yet in 1977. It was only 15 years old and not worth much. Maybe the factory did them both ways. It is certainly easier to do it with the top left bare.

On original cars I've seen, the vinyl always covers the top of the pillar. This question is also asked a lot regarding the Roadsters - same answer.

Thanks Chuck, that's what I Thought. Over the last 45 years I've owned several originals cabs & roadsters and never paid much attention to this detail even though some things are remembered in your minds eye nonetheless .
