Dealer information

#1 Post by Bob Eddy »

Looking for information concerning my 1959 Convertable D. I know it left factory in August 1959 and arrived at Hoffman Porsche Distributors in New York and then went to a Porsche Dealer in N.C. Looking for any information about Hoffman and the dealer in Charlette NC. Also any Porsche factory spec sheets, price sheets and other new car literature.

I found one dealer in Ashville, Canon Motors. Try Googling the topic, ex: Porsche dealers in North Carolina in 1959.

The Samba website has a pretty extensive list of VW dealerships and some of those dealers sold Porsche. Based upon the badge from Brown's Motors Co., I believe they were one.

I have a 63 Coupe that I believe was purchased in NC. Any luck with Brown's Motor?
