restore tie rod ends

I am looking for a way to restore (or disassembly) the tie rod ends. They are in good shape however the previous owner decided to have them painted.

I have the old version with access for lubrication. I prefer to restore them rather them taking new ones.

Thanks

I cleaned mine up on a wire wheel and flushed them out with a multi-pupose solvent. I then repainted them black and regreased them. The wire wheel also cleaned up the threads so adjusting is easier.

I think the thread has to be free of paint in order to be able to fit is the tube.
How can you avoid the the thread will start rusting?

My idea was to seperate the 2 parts of the tie rod end, but this seems to be impossible.

I haven't separated the parts. I use molybdenum grease on the threads.

Thanks! I was wondering can the tie-rod ends be disassembled?

I don't think so, Guido, but perhaps others with more experience will weigh in.
