Does anyone recognize this part? It looks like a interior stainless steel door garnish. I have no idea

Robert,

I don't recognize it for a 356.
It could be a rear garnish molding for an early 911 65-71.
But stainless steel?

It also could be a left rear door molding from a Studebaker.

Norm,

Thanks I got them when I purchased my 356c 30 years ago. I had no idea where they came from

My 59 Coupe has had stainless steel garnish rails since I purchased in 1972. No idea if original, probably not. See pictures, one from the mid 70s and the other about five years ago. As I am 800 miles from car, I cannot get better pictures to show the interior, but if you look closely, the garnish rails can be seen under the quarter windows.

looks to be the deflector trim on the doors, should have 3 countersunk holes in it. Chromed brass.
Not 100% sure though.

a 24" deflector trim? doubtful. Not sure that is a 356 part, too short for a garnish rail. is it really stainless? does a magnet stick to it?

my bet would be it is not a 356 part.
