Hex squirter head size...

#1 Post by Stephen Masefield »

Could some one please clarify for me which is the correct "squirter" - I have two sizes - see picture - one is slightly taller than other.
Either way I am hoping that that one of them will be correct for my '57 coupe !

And secondly - is it possible to re-chrome the heads without blocking the small hole ?

Thanks

I'm sorry I can't help you identify the two types of nozzles but a good chrome shop can plate without plugging the hole.

Thanks Mike that's reassuring - someone on a PM told me the longer heads are A and shorter are pre-A ....so now need one or two reasonable shorter (hex head part) ones !

Knowing how helpful our 356 community is, I'm sure someone will be helping you locate the ones you need.

Anyone have definite proof (observations/documentation) which jets were used on which car/year ? --- before we go out and manufacture the wrong one(s) ! These jets were "universal" parts to fit a number of vehicles, hence the long threads and shafts. So which ones were used on early 356s? See photo below for comps, A/B/C.
