Mystery dashboard on BT6 cab

#1 Post by Thomas Breding »

My car was restored in Germany bck in early 2000. I have received some pictures showing steps of the restoration.

I can not figure out what kind of dashboard has been installed (my guess is that it is a replacement, based on it being yellow) during the restoration. It lacks the hole for the watch and have a weird placement of the hole for the ventilation adjustment. (might have been added later)

In the end the shop drilled a hole for the watch and placed it incorrect ABOVE the ventilation adjustment. Well well...

Anyone that can identify what type of 356 it came from?

Thanks,

Thomas

Appears to be from a T-5 B with a hole for ventilation controls cut out by someone later on in its life.

Thanks Sebastian. Yes, this is what I suspect, as strange as it seems.
