Guys
I am looking for photos of the inside of B/C seat recliners. I took one apart 50 years ago, the bag is missing the big spring and the pivot point or bearing under the spring. The recliner upper outer 1/2 has a 4-3 thread piece that it looks like a screw in under the spring. I don't remember what the pivot that screws on it looks like. I know the parts around somewhere I just don't have the memory location recall anymore
Anyone have photos of a recliner with the spring removed? Looking for the pivot nut/bearing I don't want to remove and dissemble one to look if I don't have to.
Thanks
John

Each year is a little different here is a assembly article: https://porsche356registry.org/article/104? And here is Jim B's excellent article on ID ing hinges: https://porsche356registry.org/article/235 63 are different than 64 and 65 again is different. A lot of the old links which are now corrupted had pics which are lost to us now. Ashley Page had a great thread on his 64 hinges several years ago. Most of his pictures no longer show.

Here is what I have, the fixed spring slot is in the upper half. Is there anything that keeps the bottom half centered on this shaft? I understand the washers shown above, but where is the pivot bearing? The slot shaft looks like it has threads where something would screw through the bottom half. Do the notched washers thread on the shaft?

The top washer/nut in my previous picture with the notches is threaded and holds it in place.

Thanks, I think I have seen the washer/nut in a drawer. The large hole in the bottom 1/2 is about 10mm larger than the threads on the spring post. Does the spring keep it centered, or is there a hat bushing also?
