Meister Schaften badge

#1 Post by Robert Thiemrodt »

I have a 1958 356a with a build date of January 1958. The Meister badge is dated 1950-1956.
I understand from research it should be dated 1950-1957. However, there was a silver barn find that sold about 1.5 years ago. It also was a early Jauary 1958 build like mine, and, had the same dates, 1950-1956. Could mine be original to my car? Do they mount with threads and a nut, like the Porsche script, or, do they mount with a clip? Is there an identifying R on the back of them, like other emblems have?

As Zepplin sang, "Dazed and Confused".

I'd assume with a Jan 58 build date, that it is original.
