early battery box floor

#1 Post by Mike DeJonge »

we have produced an early battery box floor, without a center rib stamped in the part. Could I please get confirmation when this battery box floor was used. I beleive it was early T1 production but need confirmation before it gets listed on the website

Mike,

Yes, T1's. Will you include the drain cups, weld nut for the ground strap and the stiffening ring for the ground strap in the final product?

Mike,

I think they were used on early 57 cars also.

You would improve your product by selling it with the drain cups spot welded on. Especially the one cloe to the reinforcing rib will be hard to do when the rib is installed. Also, this way all the correct spot weld detail is there.

On the ring, it is the same as used on the T-2 and later boxes. I think it is just a flat washer.

From Justins's great ABC site. I also believe the workshop manual has a pretty good picture
