That's interesting Jim, and kind of quaint; I wonder if the enraged Porschephiles staged sit-ins and protests at local dealerships in '65? Thanks for the post.

Re: Passenger Door Grease Fittings
Wasn't there a change in the hinge pins as well with the later ones with grooves to retain grease?

Re: Passenger Door Grease Fittings
maybe C hinge pins have cotter pin and insert from below. Not sure about others. I am sure Jim B could answer.

Re: Passenger Door Grease Fittings
Seems like there was a good deal of variation in these. Mine '62-3, BT6 with the Zerks and cutouts, also has the cotter pins, fit from below and have no grease grooves in the hinge pin shaft. My B/C Manual (B14) shows the Zerks and cutouts?

Re: Passenger Door Grease Fittings
All you ever wanted to know...but were afraid to ask. The fitting currently available has 5.5mm of thread vs 4.0mm on original. Almost won't clear into the hinge cutout because it bottoms out at the pin.
Fitted to my '63 B (Feb '63).
