green Jorg flat screwdriver authentic for a 356

#1 Post by Donald Pirch »

I have a green handle flat blade screwdriver for my 1960 tool kit, shaft chrome plated stamped "JORG CHR VAN" with a number (hard to read) #15688. Per photo it's 277-mm long; chrome ferrule has depressed ring and rivit.

The question was, is this considered a 356 tool kit screwdriver? If so for what year?

Don,
You could reference Eric Cherneff's website on 356 toolkits. I have had the same questions at times about the green handle drivers that meet some of the requirements. I.E. correct length size, markings etc.
The answer I got was "the verdict is still out". That may not help but nothing is absolute with these cars. Eric's site is very informative and you can come to your own conclusions.
Hope that helps

There's one listed on eBay right now described as being for a Mercedes or VW.
