Shift knob
When I bought my 58 356a, this is the shift knob that was on it. I have since purchased the correct authentic shift knob for my car. A gentleman on the registry sold it for a good price which did not include me having to give up any parts of my anatomy. Can anyone tell me which model this knob is for, and, if it is authentic, my guess is, it is not. Thanks for any advice.
The left lane is for passing, MOVE OVER!!!!

Re: Shift knob
The shape of the knob is almost identical to the VW knob used by Porsche from mid-'53 to mid-'54. But your pictured one is not the same as the VW/Porsche one. Yours looks like a reproduction for a VW. The original VW knobs had VW part numbers on them on the inside. And the ones used by Porsche had the early VW part numbers on them.
