' Euro ' Exhaust - Angle

#1 Post by jim saunders »

The original Leistritz Euro Mufflers had an Angle piece, part number 616.111.257.00, at the join of the tail pipes.
I'm assuming this also connected to the muffler for support.
Does anyone know a source for this part, there are 2 of them, OR does anyone have a good original spare or 2 they would sell ?
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks, jim

Jim
Do you mean the part identified as #4 in the diagram on this site? http://www.jimellisporscheparts.com/sho ... ct=3636153
The # 616.111.257.00 may have been superseded by part # 616.111.257.01.
If so they list them for about $12 USD.

That part you're referring to in the link is a 912 part. Sure looks the same as the 356's, is probably the same, though i think you'd need two instead of the one that the 912 uses.

Thanks very much John and Jim for your replies.
The 912 part could indeed be similar, it is a very small drawing of it in the 356 Parts manual, so a bit difficult to tell.
If there is anyone with an original 356 part that they could photo for me, that would be a big help.
Thanks a lot, jim

Great photos Richard, thanks very much for posting them. Just exactly what I needed. Now that I know how it all fits together I'll visit my local Porsche centre and see if they can order these parts for me. Then the exhaust system is sorted.
Thanks a lot for everyone's help. jim
