Thanks Charlie. When did Porsche first provide this item to Porsche owners? I think it came with my '69 912.

Thats an interesting document pouch Peter has. I know from previous discussions on this forum that the "C" came with a clear owners manual pouch or document holder. I've also seen versions that were for the "A" model cars on a thread here last year.

But for the B T-6 cars, I've seen several versions of the owners manual cover. I have one that has the Porsche Logo (shield) embossed on the front right corner but I think the original cover had the name Porsche embossed on the top right corner. Can anyone clarify which is which?

I just realized that I stepped all over Peter's question, regarding when Porsche first began providing that clear window document pouch, that Charlie White identified as being a 914 maintenance holder. I apologize for the indiscretion.

So in the spirit of furthering the discussion, I would also like to know if anyone can say which Owners manual document cover, were original to the T-6 cars.

Honestly, I don't know. I just happen to have had several 914s in prior years, and had this from one of them. I don't think it is an owner's manual cover for 912, as the OM's for 912s were much bigger in size. But perhaps someone else knows.

My brother's '69 911E also had its maintenance record in the same type of slip-sleeve, so you're probably right about its origin.

My early T-6 (11-'61) has the cover that is in Alex's post.

Al
Which one is the one you have on your 61? I posted two different covers. One has the imprint of the word Porsche on top right side. The other one has the Porsche badge on the lower right side of the cover.

Peter

It probably did come with your 69 912. I've got 2 or 3 of them from 69 912s.

Hi Jeffery:
Thanks! I'm finally able to verify which one of the two covers I have would had been issued to my 63 T-6 with a built date of August 1, 1962.

With respect to Peter's cover Jim B. pretty much answered that question as well.

Thanks guys!
