Proper Speedster Top Material

#1 Post by Rainer Cooney »

I'm in the process of working a deal with Haartz to have some of their Firenze grey Sonnendeck top material with a tan herringbone liner custom made in Germany. This material is the proper combination for all Blue and some Red '54, '55 and '56 Speedsters, reference Steve Heinrich's Speedster book pages 158 and 159 sample cards. The only material now available is with a black liner. I'd like to hear from owners of these cars that would like to have either a top made or some of this material to get an idea on the volume needed. In either case there will not be a large amount made and this will be the absolute last time this is done. Price will be dependent on volume made but due to the custom run it will be significantly more than the vinyl or Stayfast now available.

Rainer,

Great initiative! Depending on price I would take some material.
