I have a 1956 356A Speedster 1600S. The engine has a two hole crank pulley but I am told it should contain a 4 hole pulley. Can anyone confirm that the original 356A engine contained a 4 hole pulley.

Terry, see this topic from last month where that question was discussed. I believe your 1600S would have had a 4 hole pulley originally:
