Where to look to confirm origianl paint color from factory.

#1 Post by Steve Raucher »

Hello,
Where on this forum or sight can I cross reference the body tag plate # from 1958 Speedster to confirm what original color the car was when it left the factory?
I think I found my own answer...5702 is Ruby Red.
Thanks,
Steve

A great reference for Speedster/Conv D chassis number-to-color code is Steve Heinrich's book ("Porsche Speedster Typ 540").

The author lists all Reutter color codes, so even if your COA/Kardex doesn't show it you can look it up.
