Beck fuel gauge

#1 Post by Mark Cohn »

Were cars with Beck pneumatic fuel gauges originally equipped with a tag on the back of the gauge?

Not sure if they were originally equipped with a warning tag, but it would make sense as these are extremely sensitive pressure guages, less than a half psi full scale, and could be easily damaged by over-pressurizing.

Here is a better shot with more of the tag showing.

So, you want me to crawl up under my dash and look at the back of my Beck gauge? I'll try to remember to do that and let you know if it has the tag.

10:00 PM update

Well, I used a mirror and flashlight, so did not have to crawl under the dash. 53248's Beck gauge has the label.
