Transmission number 2233/9

With my engine out, right there inside the bell housing of the transmission is the number 2233/9. What does this number stand for?

It's just a casting number put there by the foundry; Mahle, I think.

I think Honsel was more likely, they did alot of cast aluminum for Porsche. I don't know for certain.
