Generator brush covers

#1 Post by Ken Daugherty »

I am sorting thru some generators and matching brush covers with generators. I have concluded that the 130 generator uses a brush cover with no wiring stud holes, has louvers for cooling and one locating 'dimple'.
The 160 brush cover has two holes for the wiring studs, a locating dimple and louvers.
The 200 brush cover has two holes for the wiring studs, no dimple and no louvers. This cover is also used on the small 12v (912) generator.
The brush cover on the right is for the 130 and the cover on the left is for the 160.

I really appreciate that information. I have a non louvered version on my car currently and purchased a louvered one just because the price was right. Now I know the correct application! Thank you so much for the post. Best regards, Doug
