Sales Folder

#1 Post by Thomas Seydoux »

Hello everyone,

I love the new site. It looks fabulous.

I just received this period Porsche dealership sales folder from the Fifties.

It is in quite amazing condition and has fantastic illustrations. Here is a sample:

I'm curious to know if anyone else has seen or owns this type of folder. I'm not really familiar with 356 literature and dealers material so I'm counting on your knowledge.

Thanks,

Thomas,

That's a REALLY nice and rare sales binder, particularly since it is in such nice condition. I have one that is very similar, some different items included, different cover, and a lot of Carrera 4-cam pictures and information. It even included the rare Carrera 57 sales brochure. Mine is also from the mid-1950's, probably 1957 or 1958. There is one that was listed on Ebay at $1800.00 that did not sell. These specialty sales binders seem to vary. I have another one with a completely different cover and the material inside the binder is separated by black section dividers. Lots of pictures and other tech material. Some are focused more on regular 356's, other's on Carrera 4-cams, and yours which seems to have a lot of Spyder stuff in it. Nice score!

PS: Thanks again for the 911/912 stuff some years ago!

Thanks Charlie,

That's the one! I purchased it since it failed to sell.

I checked your website for more information on these binders but couldn't find any illustrations.

I love the cover on your binder, it looks wonderful.
