wire mesh screen in windshield washer bag hose

#1 Post by Barry Brisco »

Welcome authenticity nuts! Yes, for some bizarre reason we really do care about the strangest things. Here's a photo of the tiny wire mesh screen I removed from the disintegrating rubber hose in the original windshield washer bag in my A coupe. Jon Bunin told me it would be there, but I had thrown the hose away. So I dug it out, dissected the hose and there it was. I would hate to lose that original part... ;-)

You're welcome, Barry. But most of us are not "nuts" or "obsessed"- for some "bizarre reason"- about the "strangest things". We merely have an interest, or curiosity, about how these cars were built.

Thanks Barry.
It reminds me of another filter that is often forgotten. Below is a shot of the wire mesh filter in the Knecht air filter can. This is where the hose connects from the C oil filler can.

Thanks Paul. I am "shocked, shocked to find" your rapid reply to my post in the Authenticity Corner Forum. ;-) My gosh, next I'll find out that there are gambling websites...

Best regards,

Barry

Jon, I hope you recognized that I was just kidding around. After all, I'm the first "nut" to post in this new Forum. ;-)

Best regards,
Barry
