Would like some pix of a '65 SC Engine
I have my engine out and am cleaning it up. I could use a few pictures of either original or well-restored 1965 SC engines.
Thanks all.
Thanks all.

Yes, Bob is correct,
the colors and decals are not correct on the photo. In fact it is a '64 H-Filter filter (should be silver gray, but I like the orange color of the earlier (57?) Fram filter, so I painted it (not period correct) Orange and put the Fram decals on it. The lower filter decals (Der Ölstab beweist's / sieh in dir an = The oil dip stick demonstrates / look at it) should be applied in direction to the coil (under "Einlass"), but once again I liked it more this way.
Coil could be black or blue, mostly black for SC, the Yellow Bosch sticker should be correct (availiable in 6V or 12V) also in appearance (some switch Horizontal so they can read). The yellow clearance sticker is currently not applied on my engine (be sure to get the correct one, think SC is - in 015 out 010 - remember C is different)
Still a lot to do on this engine, ...

Marc,
Just to make sure everyone knows, the images are of a 912 engine with a Euro-spec heater.
Thanks,
Ron LaDow

I'll bite.
What's wrong?:
Gold cad on generator and coil straps and pully hub, webers, airfilter canisters, blue coil, white oil can. Oh yeah and "OMG!" there are no clamps on any of the visible fuel lines, including the one with the non-original fuel filter. What's up with that???
Eric J.
61 Coupe with a very un-authentic SC engine. Still looks great and purrs like a kitten...
p.s. Jim did you ever get any late fuel-pump rebuild kits back in stock?

They guy that owns that car has no shame! It is a time bomb waiting to explode. He should be flogged by the Porsche Gods and made to drive a Peugeot. The picture below is a computer printout from the chassis dyno that that car was tested on.
It has a plain old stock muffler and Delorto carbs, not Webers. they were installed by the owner's good friend, Alan Klingen from the Stable in San Francisco. Alan also tuned the car 2000 miles before the dyno test. Remember that those numbers were taken from the rear wheels not from the flywheel. Not too bad for a lowly 356C. 115 HP (the red line) and 114 ft-lb of torque (blue line)
