At the AutoX a couple weeks ago I had the good fortune to strike up a conversation with the fellow who owns this GT-2. We both marveled at the respective technologies of each other's cars. I can say that in the morning our times were close, then he go to know the course and his car better (he'd only had it two weeks) and his times slipped below mine. But not by much! In truth, the course favored my much lighter car with tighter turns and only one straight where he could put the hammer down.

I thought it interesting that this picture shows an (approximate) 50-year evolution of Drs. Ferdinand and Ferry's concept.

He's got approximately 5X the horsepower, 2X the tire width, and about 1.8X the weight. His would also take about 5X the money to replace.
I'm sure we were having exactly the same amount of fun that day. :D
Ah, progress.
