Hi All,
Car is a '64 C, 6 volt. When actuating the turn signal switch, the dash light does not blink. All 4 turnsignals work and I can hear the turn signal flasher can doing its thing. There is a blue wire that connects the turn signal flasher can and the dash bulb and that is intact. I pulled out the bulb holder for the dash light and grounded it to see if that would work, but it didn't. I then changed the dash bulb but it still didn't flash. So, everything works except the dash blinker light.
I have looked at my copy of Joe Leoni's book and confirmed that all is hooked up correctly.
Any idea's? Thanks!

First, pull the bulb out of the holder and hook it up to a battery or other live connection on the car to make sure you are starting with a known good bulb. I know you tried two, but hey a small chance they are both bad.
Then with a bulb in the connector, apply power from a different connection to make sure the bulb holder is working properly and properly grounding. You could temporarily connect a lead from another bulb, like the generator light and turn on the key to see if your signal light comes on. Once these work, the problem has to be in the wire from the relay to the bulb. Make sure the wire is intact with a continuity tester. If this is ok and the connection at the relay is good, then try another relay. With the relay working the signal lights, however, it should be good.
That's how I would check it, anyway.

Dash Blinker Light Not Blinking
This is a very common problem with almost all replacement flasher
assemblies. Sometimes they only flash once on the dash even though the
lights are flashing normally. Sometimes cleaning all the connections will
correct. Other times you may have to install higher current bulbs. What
causes it is low current across the flasher unit not making it turn on all
the way to make contact with the normally open contact. LED's make it happen
because they draw less current. The way I would address this problem is:
1. Clean all connections
2. Check that all bulbs are correct size, clean sockets
3. Try higher wattage bulbs
4. Try a friend's older original flasher and see if it works
5. Try an electronic one.
My feeling is that all the replacement flasher assemblies need more current
than the original 356 systems design. The older flashers need less current.

Hi Sebastian
Is the T6 bulb holder and the way it inserts into the rear of the instrument on the dash the same as on a T2? Just asking because my high beam and blinker telltale lights as well as the instrument illumination lights on my A will not light up unless, once the bulbs are fitted to the holder, the holder is then actually inserted into the instrument, but the the blinkers and high beam lights and headlights anfd taillights on the outside of the car still will work fine.
It had me giong crazy because I swapped out about 7 or 8 bulbs and none of them would work when I was lying on my back under the dash trying to test them with the bulb holder hanging out but as soon as the holder came back into contact with the metal casing that it slides into then Hey Presto, all the instrument lights and telltales worked A O.K.
Cheers
Michael.

To Mark and Rick,
Thanks for all of the great info, I will check all of these out.
To Michael, yes the bulb holders are the same and I have swapped out bulbs with no change so I will look into it further.
Thanks!
