San Mateo Ca. tour

#1 Post by Alan Close » Thu Feb 13, 2020 2:03 pm

I read, a have since lost an announcement of a tour around the San Mateo Saratoga area. I live in the East Bay (El Cerito) and am interested in participating in this event. Would appreciate information .

Alan: Go to the 356CAR website and look at the "calendar." There is a tour listed on March 21 in the Hollister area after a monthly breakfast at San Juan Oaks Country Club. Perhaps that is the tour you are referring to.

I haven't seem anything about a San Mateo Tour, but there are several groups with upcoming drives. Diablo Region PCA is going to Santa Cruz March 28, from East Bay, there are numerous impromptu Facebook Driving Groups with tours posted, however they mostly are geared to newer cars and fast driving. Bay Area Porsche Drivers, has something posted about a drive to Pescadero on Feb 22nd, again mostly fast cars.
Come to the Monthly Breakfast in Newark, 1st Saturday 8:30am Jack's restaurant in backside of the Newpark Mall.
If you want to volunteer to put on a tour of your favorite drive we can get the word out to local 356 people. See www.356CAR.org Barney Speckman is the event person his email is on the contact list.

I just joined 356car due to this post. Was unaware of it.
Unfortunately, I don’t have any 356’s where I live here. No garage space.
