Question from Brett’s book re tach markings

In Brett’s IV book, there is a chart showing the 356A Carreras having two different tachometer ranges, one from 6,000 to 7,500 under the label 1500 Gs/gt and the other 7,000 to 7,500 with no label as to engine type. (?)

What happened to the 1600cc engines?

I’ve seen two 1959 692/2 with 6,000 to 7,500 and another with 7,000 to 7,500. It’s confusing!

Any more insight?

I could only include information that I had and could verify. Didn't get much four cam owner input this time. I'll happily revise in subsequent printings, if superior input is received. Second printing books are being printed now and just a handful of first printing editions left at www.tpr-inc.com For those who bought elsewhere and wish to have the online high res. photo Gallery access, it is available separately for $9.95 at www.tpr-inc.com

I realize it must be complicated and hard to find on the 4Cams! I’m trying to figure it out too.

Great book though!

Steve heinrich carrera book talks about that I believe. Different engines between GS and GT cars.
