Convertible frame

#1 Post by Alfred Knittel »

The question I have. Is there a difference in the frame for A T1 and A T2 for the A cars. Been looking a frame. I see that SM and stodder carrys a frame for B,s an C,s. They claim it can be modified to work on an A car. How much work is that ,anyone done that? Need one that works on an T2. Also if the car is a convertible delete (hardtop only). Is there more hardware one needs to install an convertible top?

For What It's Worth, Porsche has the same part number for the frame, 356A thru 356C. Stoddard NLA has these frames in stock under NLA-561-005-02 See http://www.nlaparts.com/store/cabriolet ... -3116.html and photo below Call NLA for pricing. Note that the front wood bow and attaching parts are delivered separately. You will find all the parts in the B/C Parts Catalog, illus 8/1 and 8/2 and in the PET somewhere. Hardest pieces to find maybe are the upholstered interior side panels; they are different than those for hardtops.
