The Brumos Collection - Jacksonville, Florida - Announcement

#1 Post by Mark Pribanic »

Those on Instagram and FaceSpace may have heard the announcement. But for those who may have not heard yet. The Brumos Collection, Jacksonville, Florida announced last evening the opening of their new 35k sf building which houses their collection. What's inside the collection? Huschke Von Hansteins 550 Spyder, Helmut Bott's 959, Buster the Mercedes Porsche Hauler, a few stylee 356's and several other significant race cars that I won't spoil the surprise.

The official opening day is the Thursday 1.23.2020, before the weekend of the 2020 Rolex 24hr race. It will also be open on Friday 1.24.2020. You will need to buy tickets online but the link hasn't been announced yet. You can stay informed by following the Brumos Collection on Instagram or Facebook. They will not be accepting walk up guests at this time. I have already requested to get on the calendar for two seperate group tours and they are still working out the details on how to schedule a group tour/event.

These fotos are from the Brumos Collection Instagram feed. Does anyone recognize a similarity to other historic automotive buildings?

I believe it's Bill Benker with his S90 GT Coupe.

Yup, it's Bill & his S90 Coupe. He drove it frequently a few years back. Mainly to 356 events in Florida

I know Gary Kempton bought it, but then he passed not too long after. I'm not sure where it is now. But there is a new 356 build at Brumos that I hope to see at the Brumos Collection next week. Stay tuned...
