The 911 guys are not building on VW chassis; that's the big difference. I don't have a problem with someone modifying a 356, as long as the original chassis remains mostly intact. Looked at a "356" at a fairly recent auction that was a tube-frame build with only parts of a real 356 body shell; that one I couldn't take.

Oh, there are plenty of those, you just have to know where to look.

If I didn’t now have a 356 I’d be more satisfied driving a Speedster fake than an MGA. I wouldn’t ever represent it as real, and I’d be a little embarrassed, but it would scratch that itch.

In relative terms, there are plenty of replica Speedsters, Roadsters and Spyders down under, but this “replica” is hard to accept. Apparently, based on a Mitsubishi coupe.

Not such bad workmanship, but totally lacking in artistry. Also I wonder where the engine or radiator is, I don’t see anywhere for cooling air to enter except presumably into the trunk.

Is this some kind of joke or is it a plant by our Editor/publisher to see if anybody actually reads the articles?

Jim, you must have been out playing golf when this was first discussed.

Apparently it's not the only plastic fantastic car in the issue.
Some days it's just not worth chewing through the restraints.....

Yup, I should pay more attention. Being retired offers too many distractions. I got a kick out of his description of his former Porsches, too. A "911 Turbo narrow body" can't say as I have ever seen one of those. I'll try and be more diligent next time.
