Check with "The Machine Shop", Martin Willis in Colorado Springs for a referal, 719-330-0085. He does top quality 356 brake drum repairs plus general engine machining and likely has connections with numerous Denver shops.

My Thoughts.. put it on a trailer and take it to Jack Morris in Spokane, it is not that far, and another fellow from Denver did the same thing.
he will fix the engine, put it back in the car properly, including all of the things that you never knew were wrong.. and a great guy to deal with.
I did that , a 500 mile trip for me, then drove the car home .. hard.. and it went great !!!
he is easy to find, but if you need contact info, let me know.

Jack will definitely do things right. You'll end up with power you never knew you had.

Check with Storz Garage, Eisenbud's, Pat Moyle, or Eurosport, all well-established and trustworthy 356 shops in Denver. Have used them for over 40 years.
