Dick
Was that a roadster? I was there in my VW powered 55 coupe. I remember a guy with a brake problem there who had a roadster( or open car). Local who worked at Montgomery Ward as I recall. Can't remember his name.

Re: Rear drum question
The car was a green coupe. Owner let his apprentices cut the drum; got it a little too thin. I have one of the pieces here. It's about 1mm thick!
Won't reveal his name, although he has been away from 356s for a couple of decades. The then owner of Cabrio 5014 let me drive the car around the Waterford track.
This was WAY before it was restored. Were those early cars primitive? OH YES!

Thanks, Vic;
I remembered it was a coupe, forgot the color, and the liner cut excessively thin, but I heard that he did make it home.
Season's Greetings,
Dick
