Grotesque, yet enticingly attractive. I wonder what his reserve is set at. I might have to beg for a kitchen pass.

The epitome of the "patina", "barn find" craze.

There was a creative fellow in the Speedster club (replicas group) that ground metal particles into his clearcoat to give his plastic car a rusty finish. It was very effective. (I did much the same with my right eye by procrastinating to get the removal of a metal sliver, ouch).

I had one of those, after they got the metal out they had to grind off a piece of my eye. I started grinding in a face shield after that.

Faux patina paint on the Speedster is okay, but I think this one is more convincing.

Apparently he had to re-list it with no reference to Porsche, I guess Porsche is starting to crack down on the fake cars on ebay again. They've been getting more aggressive.

I always wondered why they looked the other way with all the kit cars. Ferrari was the opposite, they litigated people into bankruptcy, even making them show video footage of them burning their molds.

Apparently they have a 3 person division that does nothing but go after trademark issues.

For things like making sure nobody in cutting into Porsche’s profits selling 1957 Speedsters. It makes sense.

Rust would never be a problem. Polyestermites could be an issue though.
