READ THE SHOP MANUAL. It tells exactly how to adjust the parking brake and the instructions work perfectly. al zim

Thanks Al, that’s the procedure I was following. Did it twice. There was so much slack in the cable no adjustment would do anything. Might that backwards spreader bar be the culprit? I will fix that and start from scratch today. I’m thinking it has to be an installation issue, since the e-brake worked perfectly prior to replacing shoes. Thanks for the reply..

Well, I fixed the spreader bar that was in backwards, adjusted everything again and I think we’re good. Thanks all for the help, I really appreciate it.
