Hello
Any suggestions on where to attach a right side Durant mirror on a 1964 C Coupe?
Thanks

Re: Right side rear view mirror location
It all depends on if you want to see out of it. viewtopic.php?f=1&t=11331 If you look at how Porsche mounted a passenger side mirror when they became standard it was farther back. See the picture attached. And consider a convex mirror as Mike Wilson mentions in the attached post.

Re: Right side rear view mirror location
The best location for the right side Durant mirror on a 356C coupe is in the box it came in. Buy a panoramic clip on mirror for the inside rear view mirror. You can then see much more of what is behind and to the right and to the left of you. Try your local parts store. I bought mine from O'reilly's.

Re: Right side rear view mirror location
Right side mirror or not - it's a personal choice. I tried a pano mirror and did not "adapt" to it. So my C has a right side mirror.
Position is critical as the viewing area through the vent window is small. It needs to be mounted for your body position. Sit in the driver seat in a normal posture for driving (and you can see out the rear view mirror and the left side mirror), and have someone hold the right side mirror and position it to suit you. Mark and install.

Hopefully the best location still allows the vent window to open, if you use them.

I had no problem opening the passenger side vent window.

Re: Right side rear view mirror location
My problem with the right side mirror location is symmetry as if you place it where it gives good vision it does not end up in the same place as the left side mirror and does it even allow you to access the mirror mounts from the access hole in the door?
If I had known I would live this long I would have pushed the envelope a little harder.

Re: Right side rear view mirror location
It is not symmetrical, but not so far off to be noticeable, at least to me. As I recall the door card has to be removed to install the right side mirror.

Re: Right side rear view mirror location
Thanks for all the feedback on my question regarding right side mirror mounting location. After I complete the installation I will let you know how it turned out.
