The tap determines the thread pitch; the one in the Zenith body is an obsolete spec, and Helicoil doesn't offer tooling for it.

Helicoil doesn't offer tooling but I did a repair kit M5x90........ and sold 3 of them in USA

Good work.
I'm surprised your US customers are not publicizing the service; once the screw is landed in a helicoil, it's not about to fail again.

As you told, you need a special tap made and you need to made a special "nose" for the yellow tool (sorry, I can't name it in English). Other parts are coming from a regular 5x80 kit.

Regarding my customers: USA is the land of freedom....... and they are doing what they want.

I can only tell you: I've sold one kit to Ab Tiedemann (RIP).

Some years ago, I ordered 10 kits (special order) and I had some pain to sell them. Right now, no more parts on my shelves except my own kit.

I can call the company that did them and ask for spare Tools…….. not sure!

Al's suggestion is the easiest fix. I wrote an article for the magazine a while back Helicoil repair for these, which are M5x0.90.
