A lot of suggestions, and a few actually useful; others, not so much... Just a show of hands, who has done this repair/fix? I have, so here’s how you fix it right.
1. Get out a Dremel (or other rotary tool) and use cutoff wheel 409 (.025” thick)
2. Cut along the red line I drew in the picture.
3. Remove lower dented jack spur piece.
4. Straighten lower dented jack spur piece in vise and with big hammer.
5. Straighten flanges that the lower dented jack spur will attach to (factory spot welds still preserved).
6. Check for rust on the rocker panel underneath the jack spur. (If any... fix it!)
7. Weld (now straightened) lower jack spur piece on. 8.Grind/sand down weld bead with 80 grit.

It didn’t actually take that much heat to get it to move. I used a 5 lb slide hammer with a 90* hook. Metal finished the best I could then used a shrinking disc to knock down the high spots then shot it with dtm epoxy. Should only take a little polyester filler to smooth it out. Thanks all.

You had lots of good input, made a good choice and got a good outcome.
