High Beam reversed after installation of new turn signal switch

I installed a new turn signal switch on our 356c but now the high beam is always on.
When I move the stalk away from me the high beams go out (opposite as it should be).
Triple checked the wiring, even re-installed the old turn signal switch: always the same result.

Anyone who has an idea?
Wrong connection to the head light switch (Although I checked), ... ?

Could it be that somehow you have reversed the connection of these cables ?
The yellow for the white red cable.
I know you said you have triple checked the connections.

Sometimes the colors will not match where they plug into the harness.
Try a different series of connections.
Sorry I cant remember which one is the culprit I think it was yellow.

Solved ...
All wiring was OK.
When I installed the switch in the pod which is attached to the steering column I had some hard time to screw in the 3 little bolts.
I guess the holes in the brackets are not 100% correct.
Result: some flexing in the switch, which closes the contact gap for the high beams when there should be no contact and vice versa.
Switched the brackets from old and new stalk and everything is working fine.
