New Regulator
Good afternoon
I have installed a new regulator for my BT6 which is now in 12V. But the holes for the new regulator does not correspond to the old one and the regulator seems not to be vertical. Someone has installecd this model and fabricated a plate in order to re-use the old holes ?

Re: New Regulator
Did you have the larger regulator installed prior to this one? Or was it the small one.

Re: New Regulator
That voltage regulator fits on the mounting holes of the old Bosch "small" regulator. I just replaced my old Bosch small "relay" VR with this one and you and your car battery will be very happy with the change. Much better regulation and no more flashing generator light at idle. Btw, my '60 Roadster (BT5) originally had the "large" 6v regulator and whoever converted the car to 12v made an aluminum plate to mount to the original mounting points in the car and allow for mounting the small VR.

Re: New Regulator
Thank you for your response. I'm a little bit surprise because my T6 is an old one (63) and has the larger holes so my new regulator doesn't fit with the holes so dou you have a picture of small/large holes and so precisions of the changement (year/builder/...)

Re: New Regulator
No help on the mounting holes but beware the outer housing is all live 12V.

Look at the post. I have a pic of the bracket that was used on 1963? cars before that body area was changed.

Re: New Regulator
Ok thank you very much I understand better because I have a small 6V regulator but my precedent owner lost the bracket to adapt to the larger one. Someone knows the reference of the bracket ?

Re: New Regulator
I have one that I was selling last year. If I still have it,it is in storage. I will look this week. I spoke to Brad Ripley about a year ago & I do not think we ever can up with a part number. Tom

Thank you for your return. Perhaps I'm not the only one interested of this part. Could someone do a plan in order to recreate this part ?
