Does anyone have any better quality photos of #10075 before it was restored? These are at the first Registry Holiday in Rockford, IL with owner John Moyer. Yes, the bumpers with integral valances and unusual trim are original.

As far as I know, it is the first export bumper car from July 1951. This style of bumper was only used until around December 1951. The later style export bumpers were a little less clunky looking and had separate valances that were attached to the nose and tail.

Me too -- and I took not very good pictures with my dad's Honeywell Pentax camera. I asked Bob Gummow, if he had any last year, but he thought they were all sent to the magazine. There was also a T 6 Roadster (I think) that was painted as nicely on the bottom as it was on the top -- and the same color. I was more impressed with 10075.

When ever you got time love to see the old pictures of my Speedster in your files...
I had few interim bumper cars ,Now all of them in Europe restored or under restoration....
This 10075 rear section Looks very virgin...Love the gabs on the engine lid....Of course conv.top is replaced not correct.

As you are probably aware I restored 10075 many years ago. I do have some photos of the car before the restoration but I will need to do some digging. KTF

Thanks Tom -- I'm interested in interior -- especially dashboard, as well. The bumpers, while still on the car are what I am looking for for use in the book.

I think Tom changed the car to a body-bumper configuration. Right, Tom?

Here are a few photos of 10075, very early before I acquired the cab and after my restoration. I did change the ugly bumpers to the more conventional body style. At the time, circa 1991, I could not abide the original bulky and non appealing original style, probably a mistake but I was not willing to argue with the experts at various shows.

The photos strongly suggest the car was originally radium green, however, I located some factory records which stated the color was sand grey which was used during the restoration. The car was shown at the 1992 San Diego Parade, 1993 Portland Parade and 1994 Lake Placid Parade, as seen in the open field photos, and won the Class and Division awards but it was not good enough to compete for Best of Show with the Charlie Hunter juggernaut.

Note the unique "rotisserie" used in an early attempt to perform some metal repairs to the floor pan!!!

The car was sold to a local collector who subsequently sold it to another collector. I have not seen or heard of it since 1998.
