Switching the 1/2 wires is very easy to do because they can't be seen where they may cross. I hold the wire with both hands, one on each side of the generator and give a gentle tug against each hand. The manifold was colder because that side wasn't producing power.

If you use a foam sock you had better not be running rich, fire hazard! K and N cloth filters are less likely to ignite, unless you are ultra rich.

Mark, nice meeting you last week!

Nice meeting you too CJ. I took your tip of using Nyloc nuts on my Solex injection pump shafts and was able to dial them in nicely. Thanks!

Why do you set the floats on the 40 P11 at 2mm under spec ? what happens when you set them to the 'correct spec'

John, I was following the recommendation by Jim at Carburetor Rescue: http://www.356carburetorrescue.com/Sinstall.html and which is attributed to the 'different performance levels' of the gas here in the US.
I did get a bit less flooding by lowering the level.

Refering to my old years ago answer of 912 wet-to-dry air filters, I ment the wet-mesh to the dry air filter
snouted cans/covers.
