Replacement Battery for our '64 SC Cab

Good Morning:

We have had an Optima red top in our 1964 SC Cab since we bought the car in 2007, and it has been excellent, but it now has gone to its final reward (won't take a charge). I have noted some old (2010) negative comments, when apparently they were made in Mexico.

We live in the Denver area -- any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm on my 2nd Optima battery with no issues. My first lasted 10 years and I still use it as a test battery. This battery is going on at least 5 years.

I have 6v Optimas in my three 356's. Had them for years. No issues.

I might add I also have a 12V Optima in my 2005 Toyota Tacoma. No problems.

I'm with you Mike. 6 volt Redtop in the 356C, 12 volt Redtops in the 2004 Lexus and 2013 Tacoma. No problems.
I suspect that, at some point, Optima may have had some quality control issues, but they seem to have been rectified.

My local Tractor Supply is now stocking 6V Optima. Had a 10% off coupon so bought one for Foam Car.

I'm on my second Tractor Supply 6-volt. I have noticed however that Rural King also sells them for about $45.00.
