Hi Oscar,

I'm also a newbie and the response to my questions has been great. Here is a lot of knowledge and members are willing to share it
and the more we newbies ask, the more this knowledge remain in writing for future newbies.

Welcome Oscar from another T-5 coupe newbie. My 61 is 115517 acquired not quite 2 years ago. I have been enjoying driving it and going through it, upgrading for safety and reliability. The help from the members here has been outstanding and invaluable.

perfect car for a good reliable driver, just do not over restore it! floor pans and service, leave the paint alone then you will not worry about getting a door nick. Too many of us have over restored and now have show pieces we are afraid to drive

Juha,
I'm with you on that and I also know that many of my potential questions have been asked and answered in the past, so I will make to hit the search button before posting questions.

George,
You have a beautiful collection of machines (artwork on wheels), you should be proud!
Yes I've been giving the worrying part some thought, I know that I would personally have a hard time leaving my baby out there unattended, exposed to the elements and to who knows what (careless people?).

I think I wait a few years before I do a full blown restoration.

Welcome aboard, Oscar. I feel like a newbie even after 20 years of direct ownership and 58 years of indirect ownership of 356's. I know what I know and I know what I don't know and what I know dwarfs what I don't know. So hang on for the ride, be prepared to put up with all us characters, but mainly, be prepared to learn. A LOT of very knowledgeable and helpful folks here. Enjoy your ride!!

I was just going to say the same thing, Dan! Ha!

For those new to our group (and others), sometimes Googling the desired topic will produce fast results as well.
