Can someone tell me the correct size cheese head screws for the A gas tank sender?

Early fuel pump top screws I think could be an approximation.

5 x 15 cheesehead screws and 10mm o/d flat washers.

Dick is correct about the 5 x 15 size. The Porsche parts catalogs call for the fuel sender to have DIN 85 screws which are described as "fillister head". Similar screws are called "cheese head and are technically: DIN 84 -- often incorrectly substituted. Note that the DIN 85 has a somewhat rounded head. See below for illustrations. BTW, washers are spec'd as DIN 125 aluminum,

Very important that the washers are aluminium (English spelling!!) they are there for a seal so the gas (Petrol in England) does not leak out.

Do you sell these screws and washers? I didn’t see them on your website.

Nobody sells the correct screws and washers. The din specs have changed and what you get now does not look like original (screws) or has the incorrect sizing (washers)

This makes me think the early fuel pump top screws might be correct. I think they have the din 85 head

Brad,
Maybe my Speedster has the earlier fuel sender Din 84 cheese head screws before the Din 85 panhead screws
were used as the car left the factory on 29 Oct 57 and were never changed from being 'not original'.
Being a direct shipment to Caracas, Venez. as a European equipped car, all the original hardware still exists.

I hate to argue with Brad as he is so much more knowledgeable than me. However, I do not believe that the DIN 85's he shows were ever used on the senders unless there is a problem with the labeling in his images

Re: Screws for 356A Gas Tank Sender?
I am thinking my suggestion for a close match may be exactly correct. Here are pictures of the fuel pump top screws, correct length. Head may be exact right one?
I think the new replacement screws are DIN 85, these are similar but a little more cheese-headed.

Martin,
I am sorry but those screws were never ever used on the 356A tank senders. This style screw was however used on several other areas of the car of which the fuel pump, as pointed out by you, was one.
