I believe it is a Dutch ceramics artists who was inspired by the ceramic models given to special people back in the day. Can't think of his name right now

I just bought the book expecting to find the answer but couldn't find an artist credit for this sculpture!

Re: Speedster sculpture/model
I inherited a casting very similar to that from a long time Porsche enthusiast restorer several years back.
I suspect this might be a knockoff of the example shown in that book as the wheels don't sit quite as well.
No distinguishing markings on the underside other than "retrotech" and a number written in magic marker.
Its white porcelain so its right at home on the tank cover in my shop...-

Hi, it looks similar to mine. Robert Blocker, of the Netherlands, was selling these cars at the lit meet some time back. He said that a friend made them.[img][img]

Re: Speedster sculpture/model
The excellent Speedster book by Michael Thiriar credits these Speedster sculptures to Dutch artist Jakob Wttenwaal.
I have a lovely Pre A coupe which I presumed to be by the same artist, but it has a signature/ logo on the base that I can't identify yet.
Bought on Ebay several years ago when there were a few different ones for sale from the same person.
I always regretted not buying the A coupe as well.
That 2 tone Speedster is fabulous.

That signature looks very similar to mine. Obviously the same artist.
Thanks
