I just bought a 1964 Porsche 356SC Vin # 217293 from Monte Shelton in Oregon. Apparently Monte was quite the race driver in the past. However cannot find any past
ownership or history on the red 356. It was registered under the name of John Drennan from Oregon in 1989 with Porsche 356 Registry. But no activity for some time.
The Kardex shows it was delivered to a Portland Oregon dealer in Feb. of 1964. Apparently it spend most of its time in and around the Portland area. If you know about this car please contact me through this email system or my office at 712 226-7146 .
Thank you for your time....members.

Lee, I can't help with your car, but I was amazed how close its VIN is to my 64 SC, 217351. Mine was delivered to San Francisco in Feb. 64. Maybe they shared the same boat ride from Germany.

Just joined and need to confirm where 1964 356 SC redlines compared to 1964 356 C
Apparently they are different C 5200-5500rpm and SC 6000-6200Rpm and gauges have redline marks
Why the difference? Obvious reason but have to ask...or SC have both gauges?
