356C Drain Hose Clamp / Strap Installation?

I feel I'm pretty mechanically inclined but I have no idea how this clamp / strap is installed (Part # 644-564-925-50). I did some searching / reading and didn't really see anything on how to actually use it other than they're easy to destroy.

Does anybody have any insight or a link to a video to show how they're installed?

If you have a Stoddard catalogue, the set up is shown in the axle boot section.
