I vote real. Notice the thin panel edge at left rear tire. Fiberglass bodies are thicker. Also the real yellow plate with YOM setup for stickers and the correct 1600 Super script.

The owners of fake cars usually don't bother to chase the details.

I don't think a plastic car could get a yellow plate.

You could borrow one for a shoot, but it would take someone who really cares. And it looks like a 356 VDO gauge on the dash; Dan, what say you?
I'm on the metal side.

I vote metal. Rear fender lip and if a yellow plate was used for the shoot, why have the month/year tags on it?

Ron,
I think it's the real deal.
Yellow plate with YOM stickers, thin metal at wheel well, Super badge and Super hubcaps.
Nothing I see looks like a plasti-car.

Not many replicas use the aluminum trim across the dash either.

This is a real bummer for real Speedster owners. It’s one thing if you’re asked whether your car is real by a guy at the gas station or Walmart parking lot. But when the experts can’t say for sure?

Bruce,
It's not so bad. One look in person and we could tell in a heartbeat.

Yeah, this isn't a matter of identifying a "car", it's identifying the thing in a rather dark print of a photo...
