coupe soor window adjustment

#1 Post by Jim Blakewell »

Driver's door rolls down easily but as I roll up the glass comes out of forward track (inward) and will jamb up unless I roll down and press it outward as it starts up after 2 inches it remains in track all way up. I've fiddled with it for hours with no improvement.
Any ideas?

Sorry you have to take it apart and check to make sure the pivot rivet is in tack.

Did you remove the glass from the bottom bracket? If so, when you reattach it, it isn't centered on it.

Jim,<59 or later?
Shouldn't happen with the vent window cars so you might need to fiddle with the guides.
I suspect it's slipping out of the where the taper of the glass meets the taper of the guide.
The bottom of the guides are adjustable in-out

I think Jim is working on his 64 C coupe. Jim while you are out there measure to make sure the front and rear window frame rails are parallel.
