Re: Kardex story
58A 102982 is close to me here. Originally delivered to Lindsay Saker's in SA also. I obtained the Kardex for a friend who was buying it here. The Kardex is fairly minimal but complete - has the original owner, dates, numbers, colours, options, etc.

Re: Kardex story
I just got my Kardex through David. Less than 24 hours from the time I contacted him. Hard to beat that kind of service in today's world.

I added the picture from 1959 with the car and new owner.James Watters wrote: ↑Fri Mar 22, 2019 9:58 am jb 1959-2.jpgI was able to get the Kardex for my 59 Coupe a few years ago. It listed the name of the original purchaser and Reseda, Calif. I grew in in Encino, Calif which is about 4 miles away from Reseda. Took a chance on finding his phone number and called it. His wife answered the phone and then she handed the phone to him. We had a nice discussion about how he met his future wife on the plane to Europe while taking European delivery of the car. He then sent me a picture of his group and the car in front of the Palace of Versailles in 1959.
The Kardex may unlock many secrets to your vehicles history.

Re: Kardex story
My Speedster was purchased on 5-6-58 By one Francis Hefner from MAHAG, Muenchen.
Her address is listed as American High School, Augsburg.
This is info on the KARDEX.
Anyone have an idea on how I might find more info on the original owner? School year book etc?
Car came to California from Germany with the original owner.

Re: Kardex story
Francis would be a male; Frances is female. Really easy. Francis, with an "i"; him. Frances, with an "e"; her. OK?
